Nubar Reclaim

I can't believe I've only shown one polish so far from Nubar's Going Green collection -- the whole collection is quite fabulous :-)

Nubar Reclaim

This is the duochrome of the collection. It is a shimmery green that also shines yellow/gold. The formula on this was great - it applied fluidly, evenly, and was opaque in two coats. I have four more polishes from this collection to try out. I normally love green - it's one of my favorite colors. However, I haven't really been in a green polish mood lately. I have been more into reds, pinks, and browns. I really need to add back into that rotation after seeing these pics :-D

I am super excited because the Michael Jackson DVD for This is It came out this week and I can't wait to buy it!! I am a huuuuuge MJ fan, and was so sad when he passed away. I meant to watch the movie in the theatres, but couldn't find anyone to go with me, and work was so busy. By the time I finally talked my boyfriend into watching it with me, it was announced that the DVD would be out in January, so I let him out of the movie obligation... haha. Anyway, I can't wait to buy it and hopefully watch it this weekend. If I had to pick a favorite MJ song, it would either be PYT or Wanna Be Startin' Something.

Nubar Wildfire

This is my second polish from Nubar's "Going Green" collection. Along with this collection, I also got a bottle of Nubar's fast-drying topcoat, Diamont. A few weeks ago, I started using Diamont after I realized my Seche Vite was starting to get all goopy, and now I am in *love* with Diamont. I was a faithful Seche Vite user until I discovered Diamont. Now, I can't imagine using anything else other than Diamont! OK, enough gloating about Nubar Diamont -- onto the Wildfire swatches!

I absolutely LOVE this color! It is a duochrome at its finest. It is a mossy green color, but depending on the lighting and which way you turn your hand, it also looks like a mauvey pink or gold. I tried to take some pics where it was showing up both colors. It is absolutely GORGEOUS! I'm wearing two coats in these swatches. I had no application trouble, as the formula was perfect.

Nubar is also animal-friendly. Their polishes are vegan, and they have been certified by PETA as being cruelty-free. You can pick up these guilt-free polishes at www.bynubar.com.

Nubar Conserve

When I first saw Nubar's "Going Green" collection, I knew I had to have it! Green is one of my favorite colors, and it is probably my favorite nail polish color. The collection features six different shades of green polish. I am slowly working my way through the collection.

Nubar Conserve

Conserve is a gorgeous medium green with a hint of sparkle in it. This was my first experience with Nubar -- I usually stick with OPI and China Glaze, but every once in a while, another brand will work its way into my collection. Application was fairly easy. This swatch here is two coats (plus base and top), and it wore pretty well. It was about 3 days before I took it off, and there was minimal tip wear and no chipping. The brush handle is very lightweight, and that helped with application.

You can pick up the "Going Green" collection (and the rest of Nubar's collection) on their website at www.bynubar.com.
